Area towns receive funding for recreation projects

SC State Senator Mike Gambrell recently presented funding totaling $50,000 to be used for specific projects and facility improvements in towns located within his Senate District.
Awards in the amount of $5,000 each were made to:
Piedmont Public Service District – Thomas Pack Park; Town of Pelzer – Hopkins Field; Town of West Pelzer – Senator Billy O’Dell Community Center; Town of Williamston – Brookdale Park.
Also City of Belton – Serena Land Park/Farmers Market; Homeland Park Community Watch – Neighborhood Initiatives; Town of Starr – Starr Walking Track; Town of Iva – Community Center; Town of Honea Path – Bridwell Park and Watkins Community Center – Improvements and Activities.

Pelzer receives funding
