Katherine Davidson
Katherine Eugenia Green Davidson of Piedmont, 88, wife of the late Homer Cohen Davidson, Jr., passed away Friday, June 2, 2023.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late William Roy and Rebecca Gerue Brown Green. She retired from Anderson School District One and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Susan Hawkins of Williamston, Cathy Bayne of Williamston, Edwina Dorsey, and Dawn Modzel both of Piedmont; sisters, Ethel Rochester of Liberty, Freddie Clayton of Pickens, Starlena Owens of Easley, and Robin Holcombe of Pickens; brother, Donnie Ray Green of Six Mile; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held June 5 at Gray Mortuary, with the service following in the mortuary chapel.
The burial will be at a later date at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
The family will be at the home.

JoAnn Jones
JoAnn Doris Porter Jones of Piedmont, 89, wife of the late James Linton “Buddy” Jones, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023.
Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Clarence Porter and Annie Porter Clark. She retired from Greenville Memorial Hospital, where she worked in Medical Records. She was a member of Tabernacle of Faith Church and was formerly a member of Salem United Methodist Church.
Survivors include son, Chris Jones of Piedmont; daughters, Joni Dilworth Hardin of Smyrna and Debbie Carroll of Simpsonville; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Thursday, June 8, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Gray Mortuary. The funeral will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the mortuary chapel, with burial at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Lynn Campbell
Sandra Lynn Campbell of Greenville, 55, passed away, May 31, 2023.
Born in Anderson, she was a daughter of the late James William and Emma Lee Allen Campbell. She was the former owner and operator of Glamorizers Salon and later, she worked in health care. She was member of Washington Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sisters, Kathy Williams of Pelzer and Michelle Campbell of Greenville; brother, Allen Campbell of Ware Place.
Visitation was held June 3 at Washington Baptist Church, Ware Place, the funeral followed. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Marcum Mace
Marcum Dean Mace, Sr., of Pelzer, 86, husband of Judy Sue Williams Mace, passed away Sunday, June 4, 2023.
Born and lived in Greer his entire life, he was a son of the late Luther Bates and Hazel Dean Reddick Mace. He served in the Army National Guard, was the owner/operator of Mace Janitorial Service and a member of Greer First Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Angie LyKo of Pelzer; son, Dean Mace of Newton, NH; sister Joyce Freeman of Ashville, NC; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The service will be held Thursday, June 8, at 3:00 p.m. at Greenville Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel, with entombment to follow.

Randall McBride
James Randall McBride of Williamston, 71, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023.
Born in Anderson, he was the son of the late Joe Wilbert and Elizabeth Augustus Burton McBride. He was the owner of McBride Concrete Service and was a member of NewSpring Church in Anderson.
He is survived by a special companion of twenty-three years, Debra Ross; sons, Steven Thomas of Indian Land, SC and Randy Thomas of Lancaster, SC; and four grandchildren.
Visitation was June 6, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. The service followed in the mortuary chapel. Burial was at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Walt Trammell, III
Walter Cleven Trammell, III died Friday, June 2, at his residence. Born on October 11, 1943, in Johnston, SC, he was the son of the late Dr. and Mrs. Walter C. Trammell, Jr.
Surviving are his wife, Kathy Trammell, son, Cleven Trammell, step-son, Michael Bost, and his one grandson.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Anderson, SC. He was retired from The Prudential Insurance Company. He began a second career at age 63 in wastewater treatment and was employed by Blue Granite.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Friday, June 9 at Gray Mortuary, 52 Main Street, Pelzer.
The memorial service will be held Saturday, June 10, at 1 PM at First Presbyterian Church, 302 West Whitner Street, Anderson. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
