Timothy Owen Simpson, 72, of Easley was fatally injured in an accident that happened Friday in Powdersville.
According to the Anderson County Coroner’s office, the investigation indicates that the victim was driving his vehicle attempting to turn left on to Highway 153 from a side road traveling towards Easley. The victim apparently pulled into the path of a vehicle traveling east on Highway 153 resulting in a vehicle collision and the victims’ injuries.
The Anderson County Fire Department, Anderson County EMS, Medshore EMS, South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Office of the Coroner responded to the incident.
The investigation is on-going by the Anderson County Office of the Coroner and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
