Nonpartisan candidate filing for a variety of elected offices in Anderson County will open August 1st at 12 noon and remain open through August 15th at 12 noon.
Candidate filing will be held Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm at the County Board of Voter Registration & Elections, 301 N Main Street Anderson.
The General Election for these offices will be held November 5.
The Statement of Intention of Candidacy form required for filing is available in the “Candidate Information” section of www.scvotes.gov and at the County Election Office.
State Ethics Filing: Candidates are required to file a Statement of Economic Interest and a Campaign Disclosure online with the State Ethics Commission at www.ethics.sc.gov. Failure to file these documents may result in a candidate fine but will not disqualify a candidate from an election. Contact the State Ethics Commission for additional information.
Filing will be for the following offices: Big Creek Watershed – 2 Seats; Broadmouth Creek Watershed – 3 Seats; Brushy Creek Watershed – 2 Seat (Pickens); Three & Twenty – 3 Seats (Pickens); Clemson City – Mayor, 3 Seats (Pickens); Homeland Park Water District – 2 Seats; Piedmont Public Service District – 2 Seats (Greenville); County Board of Education Districts 2, 7, 8, 9; School District Trustees District 1 Area 2, 3, 6; District 2 Area 2, 5, 6; District 3 Area 2, 3; District 4 Area 1, 3; District 5 Area 1, 3, 4, 7, At-Large; School Board Trustee District 1 (Pickens)
