SC House District 8 Representative Don Chapman recently helped Anderson County receive $740,000 seven Public Safety infrastructure grants that will benefitting local agencies.
“I was proud to sponsor these projects supporting the work of our first responders,” said Representative Chapman. “These grants will meet the stated needs of the agencies involved, and I am thankful to have such a productive relationship with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Anderson County and City Councils, our law enforcement agencies, and the fire departments serving House District 8. I have always believed that public safety is paramount to all we do in government.”
The announced grant awards are as follows:
· Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Rapid Deployment Command Vehicle—$300,000
· City of Anderson Fire Department, Safety Equipment—$125,000
· Zion Fire Department, Phase II Facility Renovations—$56,000
· Centerville Fire Station 9, Critical Facility Repair—$91,000
· Center Rock Fire Station 11, Annex Building—$100,000
· Double Springs Fire Department, Facility Renovations—$13,000
· Townville Fire Department, Air Packs—$55,000
