Dorothy Yarbrough
Dorothy Loretta Rogers Yarbrough of West Pelzer, 78, widow of Chris Yarbrough, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024.
Born in Williamston, she was a daughter of the late Clyde Franklin and Margie Alice McCoy Rogers. She was a member of Rehoboth Baptist Church.
Survivors include son, Tim Fletcher of Fountain Inn; sister, Susie Riddle of West Pelzer; four grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
The family will receive friends September 7 at Rehoboth Baptist Church with a memorial service following at the church.
A cremain burial will be held at Ashelawn Gardens in Asheville, NC.

Mary Sue Herbert
Mary Sue Allsep Herbert of Fountain Inn, 79, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2024.
Born in Pickens County, she was a daughter of the late Edward Garland and Winnie Mae Dean Allsep. She retired from Belk and was a member of Gray Court Church of God.
She is survived by daughters, Lorrie Herbert of Pelzer and Millisa Kae Bridges of Greenwood; and sister, Patsy Allsep Moore of Fountain Inn.
A graveside service was held September 3 at Norris Cemetery, Central.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, September 7, at Gray Court Church of God.

Haynie Cummings
Williamston – Haynie Charles Cummings, 90, husband of the late Sarah Elizabeth Roberts Cummings, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024.
Born in Belton (Possum Kingdom), he was the son of Charlie Lefus and Essie Ella Phillips Cummings. He retired from Deering Milliken and was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church. He loved to work in his garage, tinkering especially on small engines and lawnmowers.
He is survived by daughter, Nancie J. Cummings of Miami, FL; and sons, Gary Michael Cummings of Honea Path and Ronald Steven Cummings of Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Casey Holliday, Lyn Weston, and Elizabeth Easley; six great-grandchildren; special niece and caregiver, Faye Hopkins of Donalds; and nephew, James Carrol Cummings of Donalds.
He was predeceased by son, Charles Phillip Cummings and brother, J.C. Cummings.
Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm Tuesday, September 10, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

Wade Rogers
William Wade Rogers, Jr. of Williamston, 81, husband of Frances Davenport Rogers, passed away Friday, August 30, 2024.
Born in Williamston, he was the son of the late William Wade Rogers, Sr., and Muriel Spearman Rogers. He retired from City Electric and was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Beth Grubb of Pelzer and Jennifer Dorriety of Williamston;two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, September 4, from 1:30 to 3:00 p.m. at Beaverdam Baptist Church with the service following at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Lynne Walker
Honea Path – Wanda Lynne Walker, 67, of Blue Barker Road, died Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House.
Born in Anderson County, she was a daughter of the late Willie “Bill” Edwin and Wanda Ellis Davenport Walker. She was a life long member of Chiquola Baptist Church. Lynne received a Bachelor of Science Degree from Presbyterian College and received her Masters Degree from Clemson University. She retired from Anderson School District 1 where she was a Guidance Counselor and Adult Education Intake Coordinator.
Surviving are: her sister, Cynthia (Clarence) Adkins of Honea Path; her nephew, Carson (Emily) Adkins; her niece, Chandler (Justin) Horne; two great-nieces, Mallie Paige Adkins and Ava Lynne Horne; and her fur baby, Annabelle.
Funeral services were held at 3 P.M. Sunday, September 1, 2024 at Chiquola Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Thomas officiating. Burial followed in Garden of Memories.
