West Pelzer firefighters assist Medshore and paramedics after a woman was struck by a pickup truck on Main Street in West Pelzer. The woman apparently had to walk partially in the roadway to avoid utility lines and trees that had fallen on the sidewalk during the storm. According to witnesses, vehicles were stopped at Main Street and Holliday Street treating the intersection as a four way stop since the traffic signals were not working. A white in color pickup truck passed the stopped vehicles and sped up Main Street before striking the woman and leaving the scene. (Photo by David Rogers)
