Anderson County Emergency Management has contracted with the South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) to provide vegetative debris pick up on all state and county roadways.
The following municipalities have also contracted with the SCDOT to provide the same services on their city roadways: Anderson City, Belton, Honea Path, Iva, Pelzer, Pendleton, Starr, West Pelzer and Williamston.
Only vegetative debris such as trees, limbs, brush resulting from Hurricane Helene will be picked up. Debris should be placed within 10 feet of the roadway by October 14. Items to be picked up must be clear of fire hydrants, meters, mailboxes, cars, and utility poles / pedestals.
Any size vegetative debris will be accepted. Suggested size of debris (no larger than 12 foot in length)
No trash or bagged vegetative debris will be accepted.
