Anderson County property owners who have past due or unpaid taxes on their property, had until 5 pm Friday, October 18, to pay the delinquent taxes. After that it will be sold at public auction to the highest bidder on Monday, Oct. 21. Both real estate and mobile homes will be auctioned on this date. In the case of an owner having multiple delinquent properties, only sufficient property will be sold to satisfy the total amount due.
The Anderson County Delinquent Property Tax Sale will be held 9 am Monday at the Civic Center of Anderson, 3027 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.
Properties throughout the county, including the municipalities, with delinquent 2023 tax payments, (and older), are being advertised this week in The Journal, Belton Honea Path News Chronicle and Anderson Independent for the last time before the sale. The listings are not available from the Anderson County Treasurer’s office.

All bidders are encouraged to take advantage of the pre-registration option. On-site registraton will begin at 8 am, Oct. 21.
On the day of the tax sale, no delinquent tax payments will be accepted at the sale, at the treasurer’s office or by online payment.
Defaulting taxpayers will have the opportunity to redeem items beginning at 9 a.m. Monday, November 19 at the Anderson County Treasurer’s Office at 401 River St.)
