Wreaths Across America Ceremony
Snow Campaign Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution Hosts Annual Event on December 14th
In a moving display of remembrance and gratitude, the Snow Campaign Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) invites the community to take part in this year’s Wreaths Across America ceremony, to be held at Pine Lawn Cemetery on Saturday, December 14th. The ceremony, which is part of the national Wreaths Across America initiative, honors veterans by placing wreaths on the graves of fallen soldiers, ensuring their sacrifice is never forgotten.
The event will begin at 12:00 pm and will include a short program. Volunteers will then place wreaths at the gravesites of veterans buried at Pine Lawn, taking a moment at each grave to say the veteran’s name aloud—a gesture that underscores Wreaths Across America’s mission to remember, honor, and teach.
The Snow Campaign Chapter of DAR has sponsored this meaningful event as a way to bring the community together in unity and gratitude, especially during the holiday season when remembrance is particularly poignant.
“We hope that members of the community—young and old—will join us in honoring those who gave everything for our freedom,” said Alisha Tuttle. “By gathering to lay wreaths, we ensure their legacy endures and remind future generations of the price of liberty.”
Community members, families, and organizations are encouraged to attend and participate. Volunteers will be needed to help distribute wreaths, and those unable to attend can still contribute by sponsoring a wreath in honor or memory of a loved one.
