A Honea Path woman who was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a wreck on Nov. 18 on Broadway School Road has died from injuries she sustained in a wreck Nov. 18 on Broadway School Road, Belton.
Preliminary investigation shows that the victim was a passenger in a Kia traveling on Broadway School Road when the driver lost control of the vehicle and overturned causing the passenger to be trapped.
According to Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore, Stephanie Denise Bryant, 56 of Honea Path, was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by fire personnel. She was transported to AnMed Health where she succumbed to her injuries on December 3, at 1pm.
The victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and the death has been ruled accidental.
Anderson County EMS, Medshore EMS, Whitefield Fire Department, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing by the Anderson County Office of the Coroner and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
