The Woodmont High School Athletic Hall of Fame will be honoring the 2024 class in the Athletic Hall of Fame during the home basketball game with JL Mann High School this Friday, Jan. 24.
Inductees will include:
. Aaron Ramirez (class of 2010), Corey McKelvie (class of 1990), and Coach Jimmie Towe (2018 – 2024).
• Corey McKelvie (class of 1990) played football, basketball, and baseball; All-conference, All-County, All-State, dual sport North-South All-Star, dual sport athletic scholarship Presbyterian College.
• Aaron Ramirez (class of 2010) ran both Cross Country and Track; multi-year Gatorade Runner of the Year; multi-sport/multi-year champion in State, Upper State, Conference, and County championships; Clemson Cross Country runner (2010- 2014).
• Coach Jimmie Towe teacher and coach for 42 years (posthumously): Woodmont High School (2018 – 2024), Seneca High School, Greenwood High School, Calhoun Falls High School; Basketball, Track, Football; Assistant Athletic Director; multiple Region and State Championships; 7-time Coach of the Year; 2-time Teacher of the Year.
All families of the Hall of Fame Inductees and former WHS athletes are invited to attend this special event.
The start time for the double-header of games is 6 pm. The ceremony will take place between the girls’ and boys’ basketball games.
