Girl Scout Troop 3429 is planning a car show to be held in Williamston’s Mineral Spring Park from 10 am to 2 pm on April 5.
Troop 3429 Scouts Holly and Lucy attended the Williamston Town Council meeting and requested use of Mineral Spring Park for the event.
This event is to benefit local Girl Scout Troop 3429 who are working toward the goal of traveling to Florida to go on an Animal Learning Adventure. The Scouts work hard on their entrepreneurial skills each cookie season. But in order to raise enough money to take the troop of 14 girls, plus 2-4 chaperones, on their dream trip by their goal date of Spring/Summer 2026, they are doing extra fundraising.
“We hope that hosting the car show will bring in $1,000, but optimistically, maybe even $2,000,” the girls said. “To make this trip a reality, we need to raise a total of $10,000.”
They said they expect cookie season this year and next to supply $3,000-4,000.
All local businesses are invited to participate in the vendor fair
