A Williamston woman was fatally injured in a single vehicle wreck Friday morning on Cherokee Road, Pelzer.
According to reports, Anderson County Dispatch received a call at 8:55 am Fri. for the single vehicle crash. Emergency responders arrived to find one victim deceased in the vehicle.
According to Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore, the victim was identified as Anna Penninger Huff, 27, of Williamston.
Preliminary investigation shows that the Huff was traveling on Cherokee Road when she ran off the side of the road, hit a culvert and overturned. She was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, officials said.
Anderson County EMS, Medshore EMS, Piercetown Fire Department, the South Carolina Highway Patrol and Anderson County Office of the Coroner responded to the scene.
