Firefighters from Piedmont, South Greenville, Wren, and Powdersville responded to a fire at Southern Roots beauty shop in Piedmont Friday afternoon. Flames eventually broke through the roof of the brick structure on Blossom Branch Road. Medshore ambulance service personnel and two QRV’s stood by as a precaution as firefighters worked.
