A former Anderson County School Resource officer has been charged with sexual battery with a student by the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED). According to a SLED news release, Nicholas Cain Posey, 32, was charged with Sexual Battery with a Student on February 12. The news release did not disclose where the alleged incident took place. Posey was booked into the Anderson County Detention Center. The SLED investigation was requested by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
