One person died Wednesday night in a mobile home fire in Piedmont. Firefighters from Piedmont, South Greenville, and Wren responded to the fire at 320 Ross Street. Medshore, two QRV’s and Anderson County Sheriff’s office also responded. According to reports, the victim was discovered by firefighters laying in the doorway of the residence as they were extinguishing the flames. Despite firefighters efforts the occupant died. Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore identified the victim as Donna Hamby Davis, 61, of Piedmont. The Anderson County Coroners Office and the Anderson County Fire/Arson Unit are investigating.
