Body found in small creek identified as Williamston woman – Anderson

The Anderson Police Department and Anderson County Coroner’s Office are investigating the death of a Williamston woman whose body was found in a creek in Anderson last Wednesday.
According to reports, the decomposed body was found in a creek on “A” Street in Anderson by two individuals that were walking in the area around 7:30 pm on Mar. 19
According to Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore identified the victim as Sheila Veronica Hensley, 45, of Williamston. An autopsy was conducted to assist in the investigation and the cause and manner of death are still pending.
The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Latent Print Examiner assisted in the identification process and helped identify the victim. The removal of the victim from the area required the assistance of the Anderson Fire Department and Medshore Ambulance Service.
The incident remains an ongoing investigation.
