One fatality in mass casualty accident – Michelin Blvd.

Anderson County Emergency Response providers responded to an accident Tuesday, on Michelin Blvd. involving a car and city transit bus. According to reports, Anderson County dispatch received a call at 12:50 pm regarding the accident which happened on Michelin Blvd at Roush Street. Responders arrived quickly on scene and immediately called for additional resources due to it being considered a mass casualty event.
As of Tuesday afternoon, there were 14 victims total confirmed with one deceased. Two people were airlifted to Prisma, eight transported by ground to AnMed and three refused treatment
Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Anderson County EMS, Medshore Ambulance Service, City of Anderson Police Department, Centerville Fire Department, and Anderson County Office of the Coroner responded to the scene.
