More than 200 signs removed
The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) recently charged Hayden Lawrence Frommel, 21, of Piedmont with Interfering with Traffic Control Signs.
According to SLED, the investigation was requested by the South Carolina Department of Transportation. During the investigation, six juveniles were also charged with Interfering with Traffic Control Signs. In all, more than 200 road signs were removed at several Anderson County locations. According to arrest warrant, Frommel and co-defendants removed the signs with intention of selling them for profit. The signs included crossing signs, a stop sign, various highway signs and others.
Frommel was charged on March 18 and was booked in the Anderson County Detention Center. The case will be prosecuted by the 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
