Terry McCoy

Terry McCoy of Greenville, 82, passed away Sunday, March 30, 2025.

 Born in Anderson County, he was the son of the late James A. and Hassie Dyer Kelly. 

A graveside service was held Monday, April 7, at 11:00 am at Pine Lawn Cemetery.

Danny Turner

 Williamston – Robert Daniel “Danny” Turner, 76, also known as “Treecutter”, passed away Thursday, April 3, 2025, at his home. 

Born in Anderson, he was a son of the late John Thomas and Mary Frances Leslie Turner. He retired from Michelin after 38 years of service.

 Danny was known as a pool shark and enjoyed visiting the Anderson Jockey Lot and other flea markets. He was also an old car enthusiast.

 He is survived by daughter, Holly Lane Turner of the home and brother, John Wayne Turner of Piedmont.

 He was predeceased by wife, Deborah Kim Knight Turner and sister, Tammy Turner Rogers.

 A celebration of life will be held Sunday, April 13, from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m. at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

Rev. David Jonothon Alexander 

Rev. David Jonothon Alexander, 75, husband of Brenda Julian Alexander, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025.

 Rev. Alexander was born in Greer to the late Grady Livingston Alexander and Helen Horne Alexander. He was a Vietnam Army veteran and member of Bessie Road Baptist Church. He served as a DAV Chaplain and was a member of Foothills Vietnam Veteran Association. 

 His wife Brenda is the last surviving member of their family. 

 Visitation was Sunday at Bessie Road Baptist Church. Funeral services followed in the chapel of Bessie Road Baptist Church. Burial with military honors, was Monday at Mountain View Cemetery, 173 Drace Avenue, Greer, SC.

Jackie Burnett

Jackie Eugene Burnett of Pelzer, 81, husband of June Hood Burnett, passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

 Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Eugene V. “Bill” and Lizzer Sizemore Burnett. He retired from Marriott Hotels.

 In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Walter Burnett; daughters, Pam Allen and Jackie Nelson; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time.

Phyllis D’Onofrio

Phyllis Ann Martin D’Onofrio of Williamston, 79, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2025.

 Born in Rock Hill on May 11, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Lewis and Gaynell Ann Cooper Austin. She retired from Thornwell Children’s Home as a house parent and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Williamston.

 She is survived by her daughter, Tara D’Onofrio; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held on Monday, April 7, at 1:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.
