Piercetown and Walker-McElmoyle firefighters work at the scene of a fatal wreck Friday evening on Six and Twenty Road. It happened when a car crossed over and struck another vehicle head on. The driver of the car that crossed over, Amanda Susanne Feldman, 38 was killed. She had to be cut from the wreckage by firefighters. Medshore transported the other driver to the hospital. The motor vehicle collision occurred around 7:13 pm Friday in the 3600 block of Six & Twenty Rd., Pendelton.
According to reports, the investigation indicates that the victim was the driver of a vehicle traveling east on Six & Twenty Rd in Pendleton, when she apparently crossed the center line and struck an SUV head-on that was traveling west. The victim was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the impact and died on the scene. The Anderson County Fire Department, Medshore Ambulance Service, Anderson County EMS, South Carolina Highway Patrol and the Office of the Coroner responded.
The investigation is on-going by the Anderson County Office of the Coroner and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
