Anderson County is in the process of updating their ten year Comprehensive Plan which will be finalized in 2026.
All citizens in County Council District 7 are invited to attend an informational meeting at 6:30 pm, April 22 which will be held at Whitefield Baptist Church.
Information will be presented on changes that have occurred in Anderson County from 2016 to present.
Land Use, a topic of interest that is currently getting a lot of attention, especially in Council Districts 6 and 7, will be one of the areas covered.
Also Population, Natural Resources, Transportation, Housing, Resileance, Economic Development, Priority Investment, Community Services and Facilities.
There will be discussion another of topic of interest to area residents, the US Highway 29 Corridor Study and Improvements. A representative of the Appalachian Council of Governments (ACOG) will present information.
