According to Envision Williamston Executive Director Roberta Hamby, the Working On Williamston – Town Clean Up Day 2025 held Saturday had the largest turnout by volunteers in history. More than 50 volunteers participated including more than 30 Palmetto High School AFJROTC Cadets and more than 20 Beta Club Students and others. “There were volunteers all over the Park and Town Hall,” Hamby said. “Special thanks to all community members who showed up to help and Envision Williamston Board of Directors and Committee Members Who Showed Up.” Hamby also thanked Mayor Burgess, Councilman Chris Alexander and Councilman David Rogers for being a part of WOW. Williamston’s Town Clean Up Day is always held the weekend before Earth Day. First Citizens Bank was the lunch sponsor for those who participated in the event.
