Christopher Lewis Williford
Deputies with the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Investigative Unit took Christopher Lewis Williford into custody following a shooting and what was expected to be a “stand off” on Major Road in Belton Thursday morning. Williford is facing 3 counts of Domestic Violence High and Aggravated and 1 count of Assault and Battery High Aggravated.
According to reports, deputies, detectives and negotiators responded swiftly after the suspect opened fire at his family while they were inside of a car. No one the care was injured.
Family members said before they fled from the address, they saw Williford run back inside his house, still armed. Law enforcement resources surrounded the home, cleared the house and discovered that Williford had left prior to deputies’ arriving.
According to Anderson County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Shale Remien, deputies are familiar with the 34-year-old and he is now inside the Anderson County Detention Center, awaiting bond.
