The Anderson County Coroner’s Office and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office are investigating the death of a man who was shot Monday in Pendleton.
According to reports, Anderson County Dispatch received a call at 4:21pm on Monday regarding a man who had been shot on Checkerberry Lane in Pendleton. Responders arrived on scene to find a victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was treated on scene but succumbed to his injuries at 4:49pm.
The Anderson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Jerrico Roshean Fruster, 41 of Anderson.
The cause of death is multiple gunshot wounds, and the manner of death has been ruled homicide.
Anderson County EMS, MedShore Ambulance Service, Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Pendleton Police Department, Pendleton Fire Department, and the Anderson County Office of the Coroner responded to the scene.
This incident remains under investigation.
