Kenneth Perry, Jacob Kantrowitz, Braydon Parker McAlister, Mary Hollingsworth

 

Mary Hollingsworth

 Mary Elizabeth “Lib” Knight Hollingsworth of Pelzer, 89, formerly of Pelzer and widow of Harold Lee (Moe) Hollingsworth, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2025 at her home in Flagler Beach, FL.

 Born in Fountain Inn, she was a daughter of the late Paul Dewitt and Myrtle Maybell Knight. She retired from J.P. Stevens and was a member of Pelzer First Baptist Church.

 Survivors include daughters, Mary Lee Middleby, Rucia Lynn Wilson, and Brenda Gail DellaSala; son, David Harold Hollingsworth; sister, Margaret Grace Vaughn; brother, John Thomas “Tommy” Knight; five grandchildren and  seven great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

 The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday, May 12, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

 A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 13, at Pine Lawn Cemetery, Pelzer.

Braydon Parker McAlister

 Braydon Parker McAlister, 20, of Gray Court passed away April 30, 2025 He was the son of Vickey McAlister and the late James Norman “Mack” McAlister.

 He was a mechanic.

 In addition to his mother, he is survived by siblings, Alyssa, James III, and his twin brother, Chance and his grandfather, Larry Parker.

A celebration of his life was held May 6 with a funeral service at Gray Mortuary Chapel. He will be laid to rest near his father at the M.J. Dolly Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date.

Jacob Kantrowitz

Jacob Martin Kantrowitz of Pelzer, 80, husband of Neda Ray Kantrowitz, passed away Friday, May 2, 2025.

 Born in the Bronx, NY, he was a son of the late Abraham and Jean Leff Kantrowitz. He was formerly employed with Bankers Trust in New York City and moved to South Carolina in the 1980s where he worked at David N Manufacturing.

He was Jewish and became Bar Mitzvah at the age of 13. His family came to the United States through Ellis Island from Russia.

 In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Steven Kantrowitz; brother, David Kantrowitz; and seven nieces and nephews.

The family received friends May 6 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson with a graveside service following.

Kenneth Perry

 Belton  – Kenneth Haskel Perry, 83, husband of Robbie Jo Smith Perry, passed away Monday, May 5, 2025 at his home.

 Born in Cheatham County, TN, he was a son of the late Marshall and Cozette Smock Perry. Kenneth retired from PYA Monarch and loved to fish. He was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.

 In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Kevin Perry (Kim) and Michael Perry; grandson, Dalton Perry; sisters, Louetta Harris (Garvis) and Sue Myers; and his fur baby, Coco.

 He was predeceased by brothers, James, Maydell, and Robert Perry.

 The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

 A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 9, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

 Memorials may be made to the Cemetery Fund of Cedar Grove Baptist Church, 13024 Hwy 20, Belton, SC 29627.

 The family would like to express special thanks to his preacher, Chad Moore and his church family at Cedar Grove Baptist Church.
