Floyd Leroy Duncan, Loretta Anderson, Holly Coker

Holly Coker

Holly Michelle Coker of Liberty, 41, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

Born in Rock Hill, she was a daughter of the late David Ronald “Johnny” Coker and Susan Marie Capps Coker Ashley. She was formerly employed with O’Charley’s.

She is survived by sons, Elijah Fields and Nolan O’Bryant; daughter, Callie O’Bryant; brother, Sam Coker; step-father, Robert Ashley; life partner, James Conyers.

Visitation was June 17 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. A graveside service followed at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Loretta Anderson

Loretta Evans Anderson of Piedmont, 99, widow of Ernest Anderson, passed away Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at her home after several years of illness.

Born in March 1926 Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Blueford A. and Naomi (Oma) Franks Evans. She retired from Cryovac and was a member of Grove Station Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughter, Faye Anderson; sons, Perry Anderson and Danny Anderson; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren.

She was the last member of her immediate family.

A graveside service was held June 14 at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grove Station Baptist Church, P.O. Box 545, Piedmont, SC 29673 or the charity of one’s choice.

Floyd Leroy Duncan 

Pelzer – Floyd Leroy Duncan, 85, husband of Martha Simpson Cheshire Duncan, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2025 at his home. 

Born in Laurens, he was a son of the late Floyd Cleveland and Frances Godfrey Duncan. A member of Calvary Baptist Church, Floyd loved the Lord, Ford motor vehicles, Clemson Tigers, and driving the activity bus for Anderson School District One throughout his retirement years. 

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Steve Duncan of Spartanburg; daughters, Debbie Alexander (Randy) of Williamston and Donna Scroggs (Dan) of Piedmont; brothers, Melvin Duncan of Greenwood and Marion Duncan (Sharon) of West Columbia; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. 

He was predeceased by a daughter, Donna Jill Duncan. 

The family received friends 12:30 – 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 16, at Calvary Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson.
