The Anderson County Coroner’s Office is investigating the death of a man who died days after crashing his truck on Due West Road in Honea Path. According to the Coroner’s Office, Austin Montgomery McKee, 26 of Travelers Rest was involved in a wreck on May 31 in which his truck had flipped over a bridge and went down an embankment, landing on its roof in a creek. McKee was treated on the scene and taken to AnMed where he succumbed to his injuries on Thursday, June 5. The investigation is ongoing by the Anderson County Office of the Coroner and the SC Highway Patrol.
