Highway road work has been ongoing for some time on US Hwy 29, Bowlen Road and Old Williamston Road near the Anderson Jockey Lot.
The work is being done to make the area more safe, officials said.
The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) recently made traffic pattern changes on these roads.
Multiple entrances to the Anderson Jockey Lot have been combined into one main entrance near the new Highway 29 North intersection with Old Williamston Rd / Bowlan Rd.
Officials urge drivers to use extra caution in the area and watch for unfamiliar drivers adjusting to the changes.
The new Highway 29 North intersection will not fully open until a new traffic signal is installed, which is currently expected in mid-July.
Work is also ongoing for a new traffic circle that will be located on Old Williamston Road and a new cut through road from Bowlen Road.
