Scott Burgess, Nancy Diane Davis, Elizabeth Alberson, Priscilla Steele, Kevin Schwenneker, Jack Bagwell, Juanita Foster

Juanita Foster

Juanita Gail Flinchum Foster of Belton, 61, wife of Thomas Bradley “Brad” Foster, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2025.

Born in Germany, she was a daughter of the late Charles Eugene and Ilse Susanna Uth Flinchum. She was employed with Clemson University as a nurse at Redfern Health Center and a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Sara Magaha; sister, Jacqueline Parkin; brothers, David Flinchum and Duane Flinchum.

Visitation will be held Sunday, July 27 from 1:00 to 2:45 pm at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 pm in the mortuary chapel. Burial will be at Beaverdam Baptist Church.

Jack Bagwell

Piedmont – Jack Butler Bagwell, 90, husband of Peggy Scott Jenkins Bagwell, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025 at his home.

Born in Pelzer, he was a son of the late Thomas Wilton and Eunice Trotter Bagwell. He retired from Pilot Life Ins. Co. and was a member of Shiloh Methodist Church. He also served in the Army National Guard. Jack was a member of the Palmetto State Quartet where he sang for 45 years and traveled through 43 states, Ireland, and the Canadian Provinces.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by son, Tim Bagwell (Sarah); 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was predeceased by son, Vern Bagwell; daughters, Maria Bagwell and Jackie Cable; brothers, Fred, JT, and Keith Bagwell; and sisters, Carolyn Garrett, Sue Reid, and Helen Wilson.

The family will receive friends 10:30 – 11:45 a.m. Friday, July 25, at Shiloh Methodist Church with the funeral service following at 12:00 p.m and burial in the church cemetery.

Kevin Schwenneker

Kevin Leonard Schwenneker of Piedmont, 34, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025.

Born in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and later relocated to Upstate, SC, he was a son of Sheila Renee Miller Schwenneker and the late Leonard William Schwenneker. He was employed at Engineered Products.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by brother, Randy Miller of Piedmont; sister, Alexis Reimers of Piedmont; girlfriend, Rhiannon Alexander and special daughter, Saylor both of Easley.

The family received friends July 19 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer with the funeral service following in the mortuary chapel.

Priscilla Steele

Priscilla Sue Heflin Steele of Williamston, 86, wife of Danny Steele, died Saturday, July 19, 2025.

Born in Salem, WV, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Jesse Davis Heflin.  She was a retired CNA in home healthcare and a member of Crossroads Assembly of God, Williamston.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Brett Steele; daughter, Danette S. Crawford; two granddaughters and one great-grandson.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Garden of Memories, Belton.

Elizabeth Alberson

Elizabeth Ann Bridges Alberson of Piedmont, 82, wife of the late Archie Ray Alberson, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025.

Born in Aiken, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Ruby Hodges Bridges. She was a member of Bessie Road Baptist Church. She was the owner of the Fiddlers Lounge for over 25 years.

She is survived by daughter, Laurie Estes; one granddaughter, one great-grandchild,and two great-great grandchildren, and adopted daughter, Dee Dee Rice.

A visitation was held Thursday, July 17 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer with the funeral service following in the mortuary chapel. Burial was at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Nancy Diane Davis 

Nancy Diane Davis of Woodruff, 83, widow of Waymon Davis, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025.

Born in Travelers Rest, SC, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Irene Pruitt Hall.

She was a member of Selma Baptist Church.

She is survived by daughter, Shannon Brady; son, Tony Davis; three grandsons, one granddaughter and six great-grandchildren and brothers, Harold Hall, Jason Hall, Sr., and Alvin Hall Sr.

A graveside service will be Wednesday, July 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Scott Burgess

Benjamin Scott Burgess of Piedmont, 59, passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025.

Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late Benjamin Broadus and Mary Evon Canup Burgess. He was formerly employed with STI. 

Survivors include daughter, Tara Burgess; sons, Ben and Jesse Burgess; sisters, Debra Kelley and Kathy Khezrenejat; and six grandchildren.

The family received friends July 22 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
