A candidate filing period for two (2) at- large town seats on West Pelzer Town Council will open at noon on Friday, August 1, and close at noon on Friday, August 15. Any candidate seeking nominations must file during this time.
Filing location will be West Pelzer Town Hall, 30 Main Street, Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. to p.m. (closed 12:00 pm – 1 pm for lunch)
The Statement of Intention of Candidacy (SIC) form required for filing is available in the “Candidate Information” section of and at the Town of West Pelzer Municipal Building.
The filing fee for this office is $25. Filing fees are paid at the time of filing by candidates seeking the nomination. Filing fee checks should be made payable to the Town of West Pelzer.
Candidates are required to file a Statement of Economic Interests and a Campaign Disclosure online with the State Ethics Commission at http://ethics.sc.gov. Failure to file these documents may result in a candidate fine but will not disqualify a candidate from the election. Contact the State Ethics Commission for more information.
The West Pelzer General Election will be held on November 4. Polls will be open 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Early Voting will be conducted at the Board of Voter Registration and Elections, 301 N Main Street, Anderson, beginning Monday October 20, through Friday, October 31. Hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
