A Piercetown area father is facing charges after a two month old infant was taken to the hospital by EMS last Wednesday.
According to reports, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, along with EMS Piercetown Fire Department personnel responded to 103 Turkey Trot Road in Williamston, at approximately 6 am on Aug. 27 in reference to a two-month-old infant who was in cardiac arrest.
First responders performed life saving measures and patient care until the child was transported by EMS to Greenville Memorial Hospital.
While being treated at the hospital, it was discovered that the child had injuries consistent with possible abuse. As a result of the investigation, ACSO Detectives have charged the child’s father, Randon Avery Rolback, with Unlawful Conduct Toward a Child. Rolback was in custody and placed in specialized housing at the Anderson County Detention Center until a bond hearing.
The child was in critical condition in the pediatric intensive care unit at Greenville Memorial Hospital, as Detectives continued their investigation into the incident.
Rolback saw a judge in person at the Anderson County Detention Center and received a $50,000 surety bond.
