The Piedmont Public Service District of Anderson and Greenville Counties September meeting was held Monday at the Piedmont Fire Department.
In the committee reports, Commissioner Rudy Rhodes reported repairs and renovations to kitchen in The Rowell Club Room in the Historic Piedmont Community Building are on schedule to be completed this week.
Deputy Administrator/Assistant Chief Craig Lawless advised the Annual Financial Audit began this week.
Commissioner Beth Dickson noted the total rental income for August to be $1290. She is in the process of reviewing rental charges for other area venues and should have new rental rates for the Community Building and the Ball Field to be proposed by year end.
A motion was called for and passed to allow for the purchase of an Administrator’s vehicle using the State Purchasing Program or the Three Bid System for a price not to exceed $60,000.
The motion was necessary as the vehicle supply and pricing may have increased in the past month. The purchase of the specific vehicle in August could not be completed due to availability of the specified unit.
There being no other business the meeting was adjourned at 7:31 pm.
