MATTISON Jr.
A former Anderson County deputy is facing charges after an internal investigation showed criminal conduct in office.
According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, Deputies charge 36-year-old Darin Mattison Jr., 36, with Misconduct in Office and Breach of Trust with fraudulent Intent after evidence showed violations of manipulating extra duty timecards and receiving pay for services not worked.
A statement from the Sheriff’s Office said: “The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office stands on the highest form of integrity and will take swift action if any employee violates their oath of office. Once the wrongdoing was discovered, deputies quickly charged Mattison on September 30.
“Mattison started his law enforcement career in 2014 and has since been relieved of duty at ACSO.’
