Roger Dale Lollis, Billy Glasby, Joe Gambrell

Danny Hinson

Danny Boyd Hinson of Piedmont, 73, husband of the late Pamela Kaye Cooper Hinson, passed away Wednesday, October 15, 2025.

Born in Lyman, he was a son of the late Ira Boyd “I.B.” and Lucile Greene Hinson. .

He is survived by daughter, Katherine “Kelly” Gillespie; son, Daniel Dee Hinson; brother, Paul Hinson; sisters, Mary Rogers, Barbara Ferguson, Fay Fisher, Helen Willis, Sarah Chambers, and Elizabeth Skipper; six grandchildren, Cand one great-grandchild, Noah Hinson.

A graveside service was held October 18 at Grove Station Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Pointe Church, 8649 Augusta Rd. Ste. D, Pelzer, SC 29669.

Joe Gambrell

Joseph “Joe” Harvey Gambrell of Piedmont, 70, husband of the late Martha Sue Stephens Gambrell, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2025.

Born in Abbeville, he was a son of the late Henry Grady and Margaret Edna Bunton Gambrell. He retired from Davey Tree Service and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include son, Michael Gambrell; two grandchildren, Roger Gambrell, Steven Gambrell, and Stanley Gambrell; sisters, Edna Monroe and Evelyn Galloway.

The family received friends October 19 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 3:30 p.m and burial in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak Grove Baptist Church, 800 Old River Rd., Piedmont, SC 29673.

Billy Glasby

William Robert “Pappy” Glasby of Williamston, 70, passed away Sunday, October 19, 2025.

Born in Williamston, he was the son of the late Betty Sue Stone and Robert Leo Glasby. He retired from Michelin and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. 

Survivors include daughter, Ashley Glasby; son, John Glasby; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

No services are planned at this time.

Roger Dale Lollis 

Williamston- Roger Dale Lollis, 76, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025.

 Born in Pelzer, he was the son of the late Andrew and Lunie Jordan Lollis.

 Mr. Lollis was a member of Whitefield Baptist Church. He was a US Airforce Veteran, worked for Winn-Dixie for over 40 years, and was a huge Clemson Tiger fan. He was always known for having a larger-than-life personality and always having a smile on his face.

 He is survived by daughter, Treva Woolbright (Jay); grandchild, Vada Woolbright; sisters, Kay Walker, Judy Hannon, Elaine Davis and Joyce Smith; and former wife and best friend, Debbie Chastain.

 He was preceded in death by brothers, Charles, Joe, Andrew (Bud), James (Red) and George Lollis; and sisters, Mary Fennell, Linda Roper, Ellen Chasteen, Brenda Blackstone and Sara Cooley.

 A visitation will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 4:00 PM until 5:15 PM at Gray Mortuary. The Memorial Service will follow at 5:30 PM at Gray Mortuary Chapel.

 In honor of the love Mr. Lollis had for Clemson, the family has requested for those attending to please wear orange or purple to the service.
