Anderson County man charged with gaming

The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) charged Eric Peoples, 55, with Operating a Gaming House and Operating a Slot, Video, or Gambling Devices on Monday, October 27.
This is a joint investigation with SLED and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office.
According to warrants, a search warrant was completed at a residence in Anderson. Ten Pot-O-Gold illegal gaming machines were seized. The property owner, Peoples, admitted to agents that he was operating the gambling house in his back yard for over a year.
Peoples was booked into the Anderson County Detention Center. The case will be prosecuted by the 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office.
