Anderson County Sheriff’s Deputies have arrested a man after evidence showed he produced child sexual abuse material and placed a camera in a bedroom at a home in Williamston.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, Justin Lee Lucio, 36, is facing three counts of Sexual Exploitation of Minor 1 Degree after an investigation began in June.
Detectives say a young girl came forward at school, disclosing how Lucio had sexually abused her. The concerned mother contacted detectives and the conversation made her wave the red flag about an incident the year prior in which Lucio had placed cameras in her other child’s bedroom.
Detectives combed through evidence and gathered reports showing the defendant in fact placed a small, hidden in plain sight camera which recorded a little girl’s bedroom.
With the assistance of Homeland Security, the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office was able to charge Lucio with producing this material.
Lucio has a history of domestic violence and kidnapping from an incident that unfolded in Oconee County in 2013, the Sheriff’s Office said.
The 10 Circuit Solicitors Office will prosecute this case, as well as the hands-on abuse case stemming from April.
Lucio remains inside the Anderson County Detention Center.
