Stephanie Brown

Stephanie Elizabeth Posey Brown of Williamston, 54, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025.

Born in Easley, she was a daughter of Willard Benjamin Posey, Sr. and Linda Sue Macomber Way.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by daughters, Melynda Edwards and Jennifer Chrislip; son, John Gagain; brothers, Ben Posey, Jr. and Stephen Posey; half-sisters, Ida Way and Helen Way; three grandchildren.

Services to be held at a later date.

Arnold Navey

Arnold Keith Navey of Honea Path, 86, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025.

Born in Shelby, NC, he was a son of the late Benjamin Edgar and Vera Arnold Navey. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran and a retired textile worker. 

Survivors include daughters, Cindy Thompson and Michelle Willis; sons, Harold Hatcher, Arnold Navey, Jr., Rodney Navey, Kevin Navey, and Douglas Navey; 22 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday, November 6, from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. in the mortuary chapel. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Sandra Crotts

Sandra Elaine Miller Crotts of Pelzer, 64, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025.

Born in Spartanburg, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence Gerald Miller and Marie Eliza Sprouse Phillips. She was formerly employed with American Spinning.

She is survived by son, Travis Crotts; step-daughter, Leeshell Ward; sisters, Rita Gilbert, Robin Miller, and Barbara Bodiford; three grandchildren, and one step-grandchild.

No services are planned at this time.

Carroll DeVall

James Carroll DeVall of Williamston, 79, husband of Bobbie Joan Irby DeVall, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025.

Born in Greenville, he was a son of the late Reed William DeVall, Sr. and Martha Louise James DeVall. He was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran having served 2 combat tours, first as a paratrooper and the second as a helicopter pilot. He was also a member of the SC Army National Guard. He retired from Alcoa Fujikura Limited and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

In addition to his wife he is survived by sister, Golden Riddle.

Visitation was held November 1 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. The funeral service followed in the mortuary chapel. Entombment will be at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum with military honors.

Memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
