A Honea Path woman died in an early morning house fire Wednesday in Honea Path.
Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore identified the victim as Angela Dawn McCoy, 47, of Honea Patch.
According to reports, Anderson County 911 received a call just before 3:15 am for a structure fire with possible entrapment on Shady Grove Road in Honea Path. Responders arrived to find a fully involved fire with one person still inside. The trapped victim succumbed to her injuries on scene.
Another person in the home at the time of the fire made it out with no injuries.
An autopsy has been scheduled to assist in the investigation. The cause of death is pending, no foul play is suspected.
