There will be a Special Election to fill the vacant mayor seat in West Pelzer on January 20, 2026.
Books are open for candidate filing period for Mayor as of Monday, November 10 and will remain open until noon on Friday, November 21.
Any candidate seeking nomination can file during this time at the Town of West Pelzer Municipal Building, 30 Main Street West Pelzer or Anderson County Election Office: 301 N Main Street, Anderson.
Filing Hours at the West Pelzer Municipal Building are Monday-Thursday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. (closed 12 pm – 1 pm for lunch).
Filing hours at the County Election Office are Monday-Friday 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Statement of Intention of Candidacy (SIC) form required for filing is available in the “Candidate Information” section and at the Town of West Pelzer Municipal Building and Anderson County Election Office.
