The Palmetto High Cheerleaders participated in the Williamston Christmas Parade held Sunday. They were also an award winner, placing 2nd in the Performance Category. Palmetto Twirlers placed first.

2025 Williamston Christmas Parade Winners were:
CHURCH – Winner: Hillcrest Baptist Church; 2nd: Abundant Life
BUSINESS – Winner: Riverbend Farm and Land; 2nd: M and M Landscaping
PERFORMANCE – Winner: Palmetto Twirlers; 2nd: Palmetto Cheerleaders
QUEEN – Winner: VaNycia Daniel
GROUPS/ORGANIZATIONS – Winner: ACTC- Career Center; 2nd: Melody Vinson
INDIVIDUAL – Winner: Irving Goldstein; 2nd: (tie) Nolan Price, James Kelly
FIRST RESPONDERS – Winner: Piedmont Fire Department; 2nd: Whitefield Fire Department

“Despite the weather, the parade had over 40 entries,” Organizer Sherrie Cole said. “The parade committee would like to thank the judges for their tireless devotion to the parade, the Wagner Family, the Town of Williamston and its employees, Envision Williamston, the Williamston Fire Department, the Williamston Police Department, the Council and Mayor for all of their support.”
