Wren firefighters survey the scene of a fatal wreck involving a single vehicle on I-85 Monday night. It happened on the northbound side near the 38 mile marker. According to reports, the vehicle ran off the right side of the Interstate and struck a guardrail, ejecting the driver. The vehicle continued approximately 100 yards before stopping on the right side of the Interstate. Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore identified the victim as Zachary Liddell, 38, of West Pelzer. The Coroner’s Office said the driver was unrestrained. Medshore ambulance service, QRVs, and state troopers also responded. One northbound lane of traffic was closed until the wreckage was cleared.
