A registered sex offender in Pelzer is facing multiple charges involving minors after detectives uncovered disturbing material uploaded to his virtual storage account.
Shilo Christopher Galvan, 26, is now facing 10 counts of Sexual Exploitation of Minor Third degree after detectives found evidence showing child sexual abuse material uploaded to his virtual storage.
The Criminal Investigations Division received at least two Cybertips on Galvan and began investigating in September 2025.
The investigation led them to search Galvan’s home in early December, where several pieces of evidence were collected.
With the assistance of investigators from Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, Galvan was successfully arrested on December 4 along Page Road in Pelzer.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the material found points to abuse of young girls and it was important to detectives to move swiftly given Galvan’s criminal history.
Galvan was listed on the sex offender registry in 2018 after being charged with Assault and Battery in Laurens County.
Galvan remains in the Anderson County Detention Center and the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office will prosecute this case.
