Update – The Anderson County Sheriff’s Office has made an arrest in connection with the fatal stabbing of a man that occurred Jan. 6 in Belton.
After a thorough investigation, Detectives charged Amanda G. Lee with murder. According to the Sheriff’s Office, Detectives determined that Lee stabbed her boyfriend multiple times
inside their shared residence on Sherwood Drive. After the incident, according to ACSO, Lee sustained self-inflicted stab wounds. She was transported to the hospital where she was treated for her injuries.
Upon her release from the hospital Saturday, Lee was taken into custody and transported to the ACDC.

Belton man dies in stabbing incident
A Belton man died after being stabbed during a domestic incident in which a female in the same residence was also stabbed.
According to reports, Anderson County 911 received a call just after 10 p.m. Jan. 6 for a welfare check at Sherwood Drive in Belton. Deputies arrived on scene to find two people with stab wounds. The male was deceased on scene and the female was transported to Prisma Greenville.
According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office, preliminary findings indicated the two individuals involved were boyfriend and girlfriend who lived in the same residence.
Tha Anderson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Edwin Larry Burns, Jr., 41 of Belton.
The manner of death has been ruled homicide. An autopsy has been scheduled to assist in the investigation. The scene was under investigation by the Anderson County Office of the Coroner and the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office
