Jake Q. Rutledge of Williamston, 92, passed away Thursday, January 15, 2026.
Born in Stone Mountain, GA, he was a son of the late Enoch Elijah and Winnie Beam Rutledge. He was a U.S. Army veteran
He is survived by daughter, Pamela R. Sims; one grand son and two great-grandchildren.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Tommy Lee Davis
Tommy Lee Davis of Donalds, 64, husband of Kathy Davis, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Born in Pelzer, he was the son of the late Walter Davis and Janie Boyce Gilreath.
He worked in commercial steel construction at Graham’s Welders.
Survivors include son, Steven Davis; daughter, Rebecca Strack; brother, Frank Simpson.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.

Earlene Tumblin
Martha Earlene Maddox Tumblin of Pelzer, 83, wife of Jerry Lewis Tumblin, passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2026.
Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Heyward and Frances Gentry Maddox. She retired from Cushman Plant and was a member of West Pelzer Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Gary Tumblin; daughter, Renee Tumblin; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 21, from 12:30 – 1:45 p.m. at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer with the funeral service following at 2:00 p.m. in the mortuary chapel. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association Upstate SC, 887 Johnnie Dodds Blvd, Suite 110, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29646.

Harriett Jane Barwick Strickland of Piedmont, 77, wife of the late Omer Dwain Strickland, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2026.
Born in Greenville, she a daughter of the late Harvey Osbourn and Doris Annie Burdette Barwick.
She is survived by sons, Daniel Strickland and Matthew Strickland; sister, Leigh Taylor; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, January 23, from 1:00 to 1:45 pm at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer with the funeral service following at 2:00 pm in the mortuary chapel. Burial will be at Greenville Memorial Gardens.

Pelzer- Mamie Jean Whitt Ellenburg, 94, wife of the late Charles Ellenburg, passed away Saturday, January 17, 2026.
Born in Pelzer, she was a daughter of the late Beaumonde and Minna Simmons Whitt. Mrs. Ellenburg was a member of Williamston First Baptist Church.
Survivors include daughter, Lin Hansbrough; grandson, Vincent Webb; granddaughter, Holly Yarber; great-granddaughters, Lilly Webb and Scarlett Yarber; and sister, Bobbie MacIntosh (William).
She was predeceased in death by daughter, Sandra Ellenburg Webb; sister, Ramona Whitt; and grandson, Jay Hansbrough.
A private family service will be held at M.J. “Dolly” Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
