State Representative Blake Sanders has announced that he is running for re-election to continue serving the people of South Carolina House District 9.
“Serving the families, small businesses, and communities of District 9 has been the honor of my life,” Sanders said. “I’m running for re-election to keep delivering results, defending conservative values, and ensuring Anderson County has a strong voice at the State House.”
During the most recent legislative session, Sanders fought to strengthen public safety, support law enforcement, first responders, and healthcare professionals, deliver meaningful tax relief for working families and seniors, and expand education options while increasing accountability.
Sanders has worked closely with Anderson County Council and municipal leaders on land use, zoning, annexation, infrastructure, and public safety issues to promote responsible growth while protecting the character of local communities. A lifelong resident of Anderson County, he remains actively engaged in the district through school visits, civic and faith-based events, and working directly with local businesses. He has partnered with the Town of Pelzer, Town of West Pelzer, Town of Williamston, and the City of Anderson on key local priorities.
Constituent service remains a top priority. Sanders’ office has assisted hundreds of residents with state agencies and government services, with a focus on accessibility, responsiveness, and results.
“Government should work for the people—not the other way around,” Sanders said. “When constituents reach out, they deserve real responses and real solutions.”
Before serving in the State House, Sanders was Mayor of West Pelzer, where he gained hands-on experience balancing budgets and delivering results-driven solutions for local residents.
His re-election campaign will focus on keeping South Carolina strong, protecting conservative values, growing the local economy, and ensuring District 9 continues to have effective representation in Columbia.
