Williamston firefighters responded to an approximately two acre woods fire Saturday afternoon off of Cherokee Road. The terrain made it a difficult task to contain. No structures were threatened. Brush trucks and firefighters from West Pelzer and Whitefield assisted in extinguishing the fire. Williamston police officers assisted with traffic control in the area. (Photo by David Rogers)
