Books open Monday for one seat on council – West Pelzer

Sign ups for on unexpired council seat in West Pelzer will open Monday, Feb. 23. Books will be open at noon on Feb. 23 and will close at noon on March 6 for any candidate seeking nomination to file.
Filing locations will be at West Pelzer Town Hall, 30 Main Street in West Pelzer and Anderson County Board of Voter Registration, 301 N. Main St. in Anderson.
Filing hours in West Pelzer are Monday – Thursday 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (closed 12 pm – 1 pm for lunch).
Filing hours at the Anderson County Board of Registration and Elections office is Monday – Friday 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m., 301 N. Main St. only.
The Statement of Intention of Candidacy (SIC) form required for filing is available in the “Candidate Information” section on the state election website, at the Town of West Pelzer Municipal Building and Anderson County Registration and Elections office.
The filing fee for this office is $25 and is only paid at the Town of West Pelzer Municipal Building. Filing fees are paid at the time of filing by candidates seeking the nomination. Filing fee checks should be made payable to the Town of West Pelzer.
Candidates are required to file a Statement of Economic Interests and a Campaign Disclosure online with the State Ethics Commission at http://ethics.sc.gov. Failure to file these documents may result in a candidate fine but will not disqualify a candidate from the election. Contact the State Ethics Commission for more information.
The West Pelzer Special Election will be held on April 21, 2026. Polls will be open 7 a.m. – 7 p.m. Early Voting will be conducted at the Board of Voter Registration and Elections, 301 N Main Street, Anderson beginning Monday April 6 through Friday, April 17. Hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m.
West Pelzer precinct (068) votes at West Pelzer Fire Department, 101 Main Street, Pelzer.
