Bobbie Brooks, Doug Eller, Ken Strickland, William J. Regan, III

 

William J. Regan, III

William Joseph Regan, III, husband of Lita Simmons Regan,  of Piedmont passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026, at his home.

Born in Orange, CA, he was a son of the late William Joseph Regan, Jr. and Donna DeVito Montoya. He was formerly employed with Southwark Metal Mfg. Co.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by children, Adam Regan, Cassandra Marshall, and Denzle Regan; five grandchildren; siblings, Shannon Batson, Debra Zick, Donnie Regan, Mechelle Simmons, and Kellie Regan.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Ken Strickland

Kenneth “Ken” Wayne Strickland of Pelzer, 73, husband of Teresa “Terri” Lynn McClain Strickland, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2026.

Born in Anderson, he was the son of the late Carl Andrew and Loree Ethel Woodson Strickland. He was owner and operator of TK Septic and a member of Piedmont United Methodist Church. Ken loved to drag race in his race car known as Phat Dog.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by sons, Kevin Strickland, Andy Strickland, Mackey Boyter, and Andy Boyter; eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, John Christianson; nephew, Adam Christianson; niece, April Christianson; and great-niece, Rosie Kelly.

The family received friends March 30 at Gray Mortuary, Pelzer. The funeral service was held March 31 in the mortuary chapel with burial following at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Anderson.

Doug Eller

C. Douglas “Doug” Eller of Piedmont, 79, husband of 52 and a half years to Rebecca “Becky” Gunter Eller, was born July 12, 1946 at home, 2 Hardeman St. in Piedmont.

Doug was a 1964 graduate of Wren High School. He also graduated from Greenville Tech and was a member of the Army National Guard. Doug was a faithful member of Mt. Airy Baptist Church and the Wyndole Sullivan Bible Study Class. He worked many years in the chemical industry, but his proudest accomplishment was starting his own company, Piedmont Industrial Coatings, Inc. He was CEO and owner until his retirement in 2024.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Brandi Clark; son, Matthew Eller; grandchildren, Matte Black, Grady Clark, Kreek Eller, and Merrick Eller; great-granddaughter, Parker Black and great-grandson, Hayes Black who was born March 20, 2026; and sisters, Shirley Jones and Joyce Henderson.

Per his request, no formal services will be held. Instead, an informal gathering was held March 28, at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, Easley.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Airy Baptist Church, Missions Scholarship Funding, 210 Mt. Airy Church Road, Easley, SC 29642 or to Shriners Hospitals for Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605.

Bobbie Brooks

Williamston – Barbara “Bobbie” Ann Brooks, 88, wife of the late Joseph “Joe” Lee Brooks, passed away, Saturday, March 28, 2026.

Born in Williamston, she was a daughter of the late Walter Lester and Ethel Mae Holland Ellison. She retired from the Safety and Security Team at Michelin and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Mrs. Brooks served as the first female member and first female Chief of the Williamston Rescue Squad. She will be deeply missed, but her life and legacy will continue to live on in all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by daughter, Debbie Chapman (Terry); son, Brent Brooks (Melinda); sisters, Mary Jane Cothran (David) and Dot Dickerson; brother, Alton Ellison; grandchildren, Ross Taylor, Keri Burdette (Joseph), Brittany Ginn (Chase), and Pressley Brooks; great-grandchildren, Jud Key, Silas Taylor, Maeson Key, Bryson Key, Tripp Ginn, and Tucker Ginn; brothers-in -law, Tommy Brooks (Jeanette) and Sammy Brooks; sister-in-law, Diane Brooks; numerous nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Banjo Brooks.

She was predeceased by brothers, David, Wade, Sammy, Jerry, Don, and Wendell Ellison; sister-in-law, Betty Strickland (Gary); and brothers-in-law, Charles Brooks and Charles Dickerson.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 1, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be at Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made to Trinity Baptist Church, 324 Belton Dr., Williamston, SC 29697.

The families will be at their respective homes.
